Versatile and strong for more than phones.

This gooseneck cell phone holder was ordered for a different purpose than holding an phone. I wanted to make a camera lucida for drawing accurately from an image by looking through a reflection of the image. (Look it up if you're curious). I wanted a support long enough to be easily useful to hold the reflective surface.The "claws" at the end are strong although for my purposes I may need to add a bit of additional rubber to help grip the glass or prism used. The neck is quite strong and flexible though not overly so. It should support a fir bit of weight. The core of the neck is a solid metal that is easily bent to shape. I imagine with constant bending to reshape there could, over time, develop metal fatigue but for most users that probably won't be an issue. The clamp for mounting it to a table surface is different than any I have used before but it holds very well.This device should work for a number of things, including holding magnifying glass (with a little more rubber to grip, a mirror, or other items where you need a third hand. I definitely recommend this.
