Sloping Solar Cell Works in Snowy Locations!
THIS ANGLED SOLAR CELL WORKS in SNOWY & COLD Conditions. If you live in areas that receive and hold snow, take note. I tried other similarly featured, “weather proof” solar lights but the PV cells were horizontally oriented pointing directly to the sky! This creates a shelf allowing snow to build up and block the full recharging capability. Combined with cold temperatures which reduce battery charge, and you’ll likely find they simply don’t work or work with feeble duration.These are not super bright exactly what I wanted; to only illuminate my side path to the back door. The LED color is slightly different between the pair but not a big deal. I use them in the mode that turns on when motion is detected, then totally off until the next motion is detected.I gave them 4 stars because the seal over the on/off/mode slide switch seems a little flimsy but the switch is not directly exposed to snow and rain. The other reason is because the ‘keyhole’ shaped slots to hang on screws doesn’t allow one to anchor in place so the connection to the wall seems a little flaky, but I have not had a problem with them falling off yet after high wind, rain, and a few feet of snow so far.I would recommend if you need good downward sidewalk illumination (night sky-like) in a snowy environment without wiring, and if you aren’t looking for a super bright security ‘yard light’ to wake the neighbors. (neighbor approved!)

Nice design
I like the one I bought so much, I bought 3 more.It has a great design to light a path or doorway such that the light shines down and not in your eyes if mounted around 2-3′ high. The solar panel seems good. I have one in a covered archway and it still gets enough ambient light to light up on motion control.The light is not too bright but perfect for illuminating our path when spaced about 10′ apart.Mounting is either 2 screws or double stick foam tape that comes with the light. It’s pretty sticky but i found it came off some painted surfaces even though i’d clean them well before applying. I was able to use screws and the foam sticker works great for a template.I’m definitely buying more for winter.

Great so far, quality build
Got these to help my porch light out. I come home to a pitch black walkway to my front door when my porch light switch is off (normally comes on at dusk automatically).My porch light is a little dim too, so these lights are helping illuminate some more, especially the steps where the porch light doesn’t reach.I noticed the build quality on these right away, compared to the same style you see all over. These are expensive compared to those other ones, but I can see why and in my case I didn’t need a 6 -10 pack of cheap lights. These fade on gracefully and they don’t blind you because the LEDs don’t come up too high on the design of the thing. Even when I walk up the stairs, when my eyes look up to the high-mounted light I don’t get blinded.Nothing to complain about yet, but I do wish this brand had a narrower design for placing on 4×4 posts or tighter areas in general.Update: I bought more to light up the dark walkway leading to my front door. I watched day to day over the winter to see where the sun hit the most, then installed in those spots. These lights were great in the snowy winter. Always kept charge and had no instances of a light being out. I kept them in the mode where they are off until you walk past. I kept the one that gets the most sun in the mode where it’s dim and then brightens to 100% and that one kept charge too.I did have a couple instances where the sensor didn’t pick up motion and didn’t turn on, but did on the second pass.

Durable, Good motion detection, and better beam spread
I looked at several solar, motion activated lights and I’m glad I went with this one. I was basically looking for something durable that illuminated a narrow path on the side of our house without too much horizontal spillover into our neighbors and this works great.It has 3 modes which allow different brightness and duration settings. I have it set so that it turns on with motion at night and then off after a few seconds which works well for our purposes. Additionally I like that the beam is mainly directed down instead of across so it illuminates exactly the path I want.In terms of mounting, it comes with a sticky pad which might work on some surfaces. I used another 3M mounting tape because the exterior of my house has a stucco finish. 2/4 that I purchased fell ~7ft, but good news is still worked just fine which I guess speaks to durability.The box actually has a flap that you can tear off and use as a mounting guide. I ended up having to use masonry screws, but it didn’t take to long to install.Overall I’ve been very pleased with the aesthetic, durability, and function of these lights.

Perfect to light up a dark walkway & easy to install…wish I’d found them sooner!
I looked long and hard for some inexpensive solar lights for the long dark walkway of my rental home. The problem with many other styles was their top facing solar panel which would’ve struggled to get light under the roof overhang on the side of my rental home where the sunlight is already limited. I saw these with their angled solar panel and knew they were exactly what I was looking for based on the direction the wall they would be hung faces. Seeing how they had multiple functions and created a nice upacale looking lighting effect was the icing on the cake. I had purchased a different type of solar lights initially for the front of the garage and regretted buying them once I found and installed these. They work so well and allow me to feel safer getting home after dark as well as make it easier to navigate my walkway too! They were a cinch to install thanks to the template included and my only regret is not installing them sooner. If you’re looking for a rental friendly or just inexpensive lighting option that’s solar powered…these are a great choice! I will likely by more for other areas of the house!

Bad Mounting Hardware
The light itself seems fine but the included screws are trash. All 4 of them either stripped or sheared. The only other included mounting system is basically a command strip, which I can’t exactly use outdoors.

VERY Sensitive Motion Detector
These lights were not bad for the price…Very easy to set up and it also has a decent level of brightness..The motion sensor has an ok range..However it is also very sensitive..For example, if its very windy outside, the light will flicker every second but i guess this is very beneficial in providing warning for intruders..Otherwise, everything else is ok…These were definitely a great buy..

Solar charging and motion-sensor both work great
These are attractive, fairly low profile solar-powered motion lights. I set them up to light by our front gate and then our back stairs. I’ve attached them at about hip-height at the top so the light doesn’t shine in our eyes coming up the stairs but, as at least one other reviewer noted, that limits the reach of the motion sensor so they don’t turn on quite as soon as I like, but other than that they work great. I have them set to turn on only with motion since we are in a Pacific NW winter and I was worried there wouldn’t be enough sun to recharge them but so far no problems!

Great Solar Light That Lasts!
I’ve been using this solar motion sensor light outdoors for almost two years, and it’s still working perfectly.
