Great for fine motor, son thinks he is an engineer now
I got this for my four-year-old, his dad is a jet mechanic and so he is convinced that a large part of his dad‘s job is screwdrivers and screws and bolts haha. Anyways, it’s a great product, good quality ,my kiddo is pretty rough so I’m glad it is standing up to him well. I love watching my son‘s gears turn as he is working on projects. I got a similar product for my older son a few years ago, but the quality wasn’t as good, in the other product the screwdriver was kind of crappy, but this one is working better and holding up against my tough kids. I definitely recommend just as a fun toy to have for your children or grandchildren, or for a daycare provider to have on hand, it’s a great supplement for learning fine motor skills and creativity. Definitely recommend.

Great Building Set comes with working drill/screwdriver toy that kids love
We gave this building set to our grand-daughter for her 4th birthday on November 1st. I wanted to get her a building toy that she would be interested in and with colors and projects that would appeal to her. She loved it and was excited to use the working electric drill/screwdriver toy that comes with the set. The electric screwdriver needs two AA batteries. It comes with three or four different bits so the child can learn to change the bit depending on the screw or nut he/she is tightening. There is also a regular hand-powered screwdriver. There are lots of screws, nuts, washers, bolts, and different types and sizes of colorful pieces you can use to build things. Everything is made of plastic and is of very good quality. You can make flat projects on the peg board, or can use the peg board as a base to build something that stands up. There are also a number of colorful pre-cut patterns that the child can use on the peg board and it comes with an instruction sheet to showing various things to build. This toy was a hit! I’m glad I bought it.

Grandkids loved it!
Purchased this for my grandkids (girl 11, boy 9) as part of a plan to keep them busy during a week long stay with us. Their parents are careful about limiting screen time and there are no kids around us to play with. Since I work from home, I needed to make sure they had plenty to do during the day. This toy turned out to be a HUGE hit with both kids! They absolutely loved the fact that the screwdriver actually worked. They made designs on the screen as well as upright creations. One day we went to visit an aunt and I wanted to make sure they had something to play with since this older aunt wouldn’t have anything there. This is great because it gomes in a compact carrying case. This kept them busy for our 2 hour visit. They loved showing off their creativity. I would highly recommend this for boys and girls of almost any age.

Engaging, colorful, and different levels of play.
I bought this toy for my 3 (nearly 4) year old daughter for Christmas. She absolutely loves it. It does have small pieces that a child will need to be old enough to know not to put in their mouth, and also how to keep them contained and not lose them. The pieces all fit inside the box provided; but we ended up using a Tupperware box with a lid, and I added my own cardboard dividers to keep the pieces separate as opposed to using the carrying box, so it doesn’t have to be continuously opened or otherwise dumped out to be played with. It features different difficulty levels of play with the easiest being the paper pictures with holes and the button type push ins; a level up would be working with screws and tools, and then attempting to build flat 2D pictures with the shapes on a blank background, or using the booklet provided to build 3D creations being the most difficult. The toy doesn’t come with enough nuts for all the screws and I think it should have more of these both. Otherwise my daughter wants to play with it all the time. She packs it up to take to her papa’s house and enjoys making different patterns on the board. By far her favorite gift; she even likes it better than her dollhouse I got her the year prior.

A bit complicated, maybe better for older kids
This set has a lot of pieces, which could be great for some kids, but it ended up being a little overwhelming for mine. There are so many parts that an adult had to step in to figure out how everything works, especially the electric screwdriver. It may be better suited for slightly older children who have more patience for detailed building.

Good variety but will suit older kids better in my opinion
I bought the drill toy for my 4-year-old. While it has definitely sparked her interest, our experience was a mix of fun and frustration. She loved the idea of building things with the electric drill, but once we got started, she found the screw designs pretty tough to understand and build. The pieces didn’t line up in a way she could manage on her own, so I ended up helping a lot more than expected. The flat designs have a couple of pieces line up on top of the other, which was a bit difficult for her to figure out on her own. For example as shown in the picture, the fish tail and fish head look very similar as both depict triangles pointed to the left, but the tail uses 2 triangles overlapped, while the head uses just 1 triangle. It is a bit confusing for a 4 year old. It would have definitely been manageable if the designs did not use pieces that needed to be overlapped to create a picture.On the flip side, the button design part is almost too easy for a 4 year old.She mostly uses it for free play designs and mainly for the drill. I think older kids would get a lot more out of it.That said, she enjoyed playing with what we built together, and the kit itself has a good variety of pieces. The box does seem a little flimsy, let’s see how it holds up.

Not a win for my kids.
The kids lost interest in this very quickly. The sturdiness of it was mediocre. The colors and storage capacity was the only saving grace. But it didn’t last long for my kids. 5 and 9
